MY STORY

I started woodworking while I was in college and in desperate need of furniture for my first apartment.  I decided to take on the task of making myself an armoire (and it's not the one pictured on my homepage).  So I guess I've been making furniture for about 15 years.  Wow.  I'm really aging myself here.  After graduating with a degree in civil engineering from Pitt, my wife and I got married and we moved into our first and only home, taking with us many lovely pieces of hand-me-down furniture.  But it just wasn't ours.  In between renovating our home (I'm talking electrical, plumbing, flooring, drywall, the whole shebang), completing a home addition, advancing our careers, and adding two beautiful little girls to our family, I've been outfitting our home with custom furniture, slowly but surely.  Since we filled our home with my awesome creations and it's all been used and abused, I've figured out what works and what doesn't.  I build my furniture to last a lifetime (well actually, several lifetimes so I hope my girls like my style).  I work mainly with walnut and cherry.  These woods are high quality, durable, and simply beautiful.  I've been making furniture for friends, family, and other customers for about 10 years now.  Please check out my past projects page for some of the stuff I've done.

After working on large projects for many years, I found myself not wanting to burn the scraps.  I mean, that wood is not really for burning.  So I worked on giving it life in the form of smaller items like cutting boards, charcuterie boards, rolling pins, chess sets, and miniature trees and snowmen.  I currently sell my cutting boards and other kitchen items at the Kitchen Shoppe in Carlisle, PA.  They sell my inventory exclusively in-store, but that place is well-worth the trip!

I hope you enjoy checking out my work and the items I have for sale. I'm passionate about my woodworking and it brings me a lot of joy.  I hope that is evident in the quality of my work.
